Lobetoxy.com is a fresh and fun way to discover new music. Our streaming audio channel format is similar to that of an airline audio channel. Let Lobetoxy.com be your mixed tape jukebox. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some music that you may or may not have heard before.

Pick one of our channels, each having a set of songs you can listen to in streaming audio. WARNING: you will need Macromedia Flash to hear them! It’s no big deal. If the little box pops up and tells you that it needs to be installed, just say ‘OK.’ Sorry, but Flash is all we support right now.

So, back to what matters. Music. The idea is to pick your channel, sit back, and listen. You will hear, in our opinion, some of the best music out there today. We feature music that is new. Music that is making waves. Music that matters. Music for the mainstrean listener that is tired of mainstream. And as much as we love the guys in “High Fidelity” we don’t necessarily want to be them. We’re not really cutting edge. We’re more nicking edge. We want you to be able to find the music we feature. But, you won’t find most of it on the radio. We tend to like bands that don’t sound like Justin Timberlake, Creed, or Evanescence. Actually most of us here have never really heard Evanescence, but we know they won a Grammy. We probably don’t like them. Ok, so we are a bit like the guys in "High Fidelity."

Seriously, the truth is we don’t like most artists that are on the radio because we don't feel that they are the best that music has to offer. Lobetoxy.com promotes music that we think should be heard, not what corporate radio programmers think they should force down your throat. So now that you know this, stop reading and go enjoy the music!

Lobetoxy.com Mission

Over the years we have found that there are tons of resources on the web for buying music, reading reviews, news, etc. But, we couldn’t find anyone out there that had really made the effort to think about music in a completely objective manner, without being motivated by sales, partnerships, contracts, etc. No one was introducing music to people for the sole purpose of doing it because they thought it was great music. Like any business, most websites are driven by some sort of revenue structure and, thus, inherently fall into the standard corporate music trap – promote what the people that give you money want you to promote.

Not Lobetoxy.com. Our intent is to offer a fresh and fun way to discover artists that are making waves in music today, without the added burden of trying to sell something to our audience. The artists on Lobetoxy.com typically aren’t those that you’ll hear on the radio or see on MTV. Instead, they are artists that are making the music they want to make. They’re creative, they’re talented, and they are the kind of artists that inspire us here at Lobetoxy.com every day. At its essence, it is this inspiration that gave birth to Lobetoxy.com.
