| What
the heck is a lobetoxy?
:::Ok, we admit the name is weird, but it came to us in a dream…
literally. Without going into the boring details it’s a made up
word that we take to mean “toxins for the ears.” Get it? Earlobes.
Toxins. Lobe-toxy? Just use your imagination. Of course, in our
case the toxin of music is a good one, unless you are Tipper Gore
or the dad in Footloose.
Are you affiliated with any artists?
:::No. We are affiliated with nothing. Lobetoxy.com is
pure and unfettered look at music, determined only by our opinions
on the entertainment value of the music we feature. As much as
we support the music industry by buying a gazillion CDs a month,
we don’t need them telling us what to play on our website. There
are enough other sites out there for that. Oh, and the radio too.
How do you make money?
:::We don’t. Lobetoxy.com is not a business. We don’t
ask for money, we don’t make money, and we don’t give money to
anyone.
Can I download these songs?
:::Not from Lobetoxy.com, ya can’t. Then we’d really
be in trouble with the RIAA
lawyers. Try iTunes
for $0.99 a song. Or the old fashion way… buy the CD! We include
links for purchasing each and every CD we feature on our website.
Are you affiliated with any other
websites?
:::Officially, no. Again, we’re not a business so we’re not interested
in back rubbing at this point. However, we do link to a couple
of sites that we feel are valuable to the music industry. Amazon.com,
iTunes,
and Pitchforkmedia.com
are some of the many sites we think are good for music in one
way or another.
Can I tell Lobetoxy.com what I think
of this music?
Yes, absolutely. Tell him.
Can I be part of this cool Lobetoxy.com
revolution?
Yes, we plan to start hosting guest music channels. You will be
able to pick the songs you think should be featured here at Lobetoxy.com.
We only ask that you do it with the same fundamental values that
we uphold in our own channel selections. What does that mean?
It has to music that truly moves you. Contact Mike
for more details.
